343. Experience the Otherness of God

The greatest event in human history is the incarnation of Jesus – God became human. Unlike what other religions teach, Christianity teaches that God reached out to man when we weren’t even searching for him and even acknowledged him. So when we come to worship “that” God on Sunday, we ought to enjoy the “intimacy” that we have with Him, through Jesus Christ. We can call him our friend, comforter, and helper. We can also enjoy his loving presence. This…

Confirmation Testimony – Estelle Kim

Hello, I’m Estelle, and as someone raised in a family where religion was held to a high degree, the beliefs and values of Christianity were drilled into me ever since I could remember.  One of the first things I learned from this religion is the foundational truth that “God is good.” It might sound silly, but as a clueless child, I found it fairly easy to accept this concept because God created colours, and for as long as I could…

341. Children Ministry “Team”

As you probably heard through the Ministry mont presentation, we now have a children ministry “team”. This is not starting our own children “ministry”. Currently, we do not have ESC members with children. This team is specifically created to “support” the needs of children ministry in KSC. KSC is responsible for children ministry in our church for both congregations. Many of KSC children ministry staff are long-time lay leaders who faithfully sustained the ministry. But as all young children go…

340. Why We Don’t Allow Changing House Church

Jesus gave a simple commission to his disciples before he was ascended: Make disciples. (Mat 28:19-20) That is why the church should have only one mission, and that is to save the lost and make disciples of Jesus. But too many churches view “bible study” as something synonymous with “discipleship”. Bible study is important as it provides information we need to believe and follow Jesus. But expecting someone to become a disciple of Jesus through a Bible study is similar…
